one of these things is not like the other

YES THIS ALWAYS I wanted to punch Neal in the Neck for that line. Ass.

I think Neal’s reaction has a lot to do with his opinion on magic/abilities in general. Emma was part of his escape into the world without magic. So for her to have some ability that couldn’t be explained would make her just like everything he was running from. He never bought it because he wanted her to be completely separate from magic. Plus she was barely an adult when they met….. How many 18 year olds do YOU believe when they tell you how awesome they are at stuff??

But Hook, for as much as he doesn’t LIKE magic, he has to face it constantly, so the idea that a person could tell a lie immediately isn’t far from his world view and he doesn’t shut it out immediately. He’s open to it. He’s also open to accepting her for all that she is, rather than all that he wants her to be. That’s the line between Captain Swan and Swanfire, and while I love Swanfire with all my heart, Captain Swan is way more healthy for Emma.

If it’s an eighteen-year-old that I’m in love with? Of course I believe them. When you love someone, you believe in them, and you don’t dismiss them when they’re really passionate about something or feel really confident and capable about something.

I like Swanfire for its place in the narrative, I love Neal as a character, but the fact is Neal is CONSISTENTLY dbaggy in this exact way to Emma. It doesn’t matter why he doesn’t believe it, it’s that he’s telling Emma he doesn’t believe she’s got an aptitude for the ONE THING SHE’S EVER THOUGHT SHE’S REALLY GOOD AT.

Besides, she never tries to sell it as magic - she sells it as a talent, like conning people, or picking up new languages. Emma reads people well.

The way he says it says to me that he didn’t tell her that when they were together. So while he didn’t believe it, he didn’t put her down about it or dismiss it. Because  if he did, she wouldn’t use it as a point to try to get him to believe her. Unfortunately, I’m not of the same mindset personally that when you love someone, you just believe them. That’s the logical/cynical mixture in me that treats pretty much everyone equally when it comes to whether or not I believe them. But I get what you’re saying and he didn’t really need to say it that way. The situation in itself was kind of awkward and he still wanted to believe the best about Tamara, which unfortunately meant not believing Emma… and we see where that got him………

My only issue with the CF trailer is that there’s nothing about the Quarter Quell in it at all. If I wasn’t aware that it was going to be a Thing in this movie, I wouldn’t know that it was going to be… most of this movie.

Reblog if you consider Nine your Doctor.

throw “won’t fall apart instantaneously” in there and you’re pretty much fucked.

Not only size, but does it fit your body type? Plus size clothing designers tend to think that all plus size women are tall and have big busts. Not in my case. :/
